Planning tools
The college comparison, checklist, application tracker, and scholarship tracker store entries in your browser, not on our server. Clear entries using the relevant tool or clear this site’s browser data. Other users of the same browser may see saved entries. Cost and aid-offer calculations are not saved. Avoid entering sensitive personal information in any worksheet.
Signup information
If you submit the signup form, we receive your first name, email address, mobile number, selected interests, role, and consent choices. We record the date and time, disclosure version and wording, and submission reference to document your request. Submissions are emailed to our info mailbox for administration. An unchecked SMS consent box is recorded as no marketing-text consent. The form does not enroll you in email marketing.
Why we use the information
We use signup information to process your request, administer the messaging program, respond to questions, document consent and withdrawal, and protect the form from abuse. Submitting information does not send an application to a college or funding provider.
SMS data and sharing
We do not sell or share mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data, or consent with other marketers for their promotional use. Service providers such as hosting, email, and messaging processors may handle data only to provide services for us. This limited processing does not give them permission to market to you. We may disclose information when required by law.
Technical information and spam protection
Our host may log IP addresses and requested pages for operation and security. The signup form uses a short-lived session cookie, a hidden spam-detection field, and temporary rate-limit records. The rate limiter uses a keyed hash of the connecting IP address rather than storing the raw address. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics scripts.
Retention and your choices
We retain information only as needed to administer requests, document consent or opt-out, protect against abuse, and meet applicable obligations. Email records follow our operational retention practices. Ask us about access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal at the contact address above. Some records may need to be retained to honor an opt-out or meet legal obligations.
Age and external websites
SMS signup is restricted to adults 18 and older. Do not send us children’s personal information or sensitive student or financial records. Official resources linked from this site have their own privacy policies.

Changes will be reflected in the effective date. New uses requiring consent will be presented separately rather than inferred from past browsing.
