EDUCATION OFFER RESEARCH

An interesting offer.
A few essential checks.

College and funding offers deserve the same careful research as any other part of your education plan.

Identify the organization

Find the college or funding sponsor’s official website independently. Verify the program name and contact details before sending information or making a payment.

Read the eligibility and conditions

Check who can apply, the application deadline, the amount and duration of funding, renewal conditions, and any required fees or commitments. An invitation to apply is not an admission decision or an award.

Keep grants and loans distinct

Review whether the offer is gift aid, a loan, a discount, or an opportunity to apply. Ask the provider to explain anything unclear in writing.

Keep your information in your control

Review the recipient’s privacy notice. Avoid sending identity documents or financial records until you have verified both the recipient and the reason the documents are needed.
